The Golden Triangle, plus the one city most first-timers wish they'd added.

Delhi, Agra and Jaipur cover the classic must-sees. A fourth stop in Udaipur adds the lakes and palace architecture the standard circuit leaves out.

The most-booked India itinerary, extended

Why so many Golden Triangle travellers add a fourth city

Delhi, Agra and Jaipur form India's most travelled tourist circuit for good reason — the Red Fort, the Taj Mahal and Amber Fort are genuinely essential. But the standard three-city loop skips Rajasthan's lake city entirely, and Udaipur's combination of water, palace architecture and a slower pace is a natural complement to the denser, more monument-heavy first three stops.

This itinerary picks up where a typical Golden Triangle tour ends — after Jaipur, rather than flying home or onward, we drive south to Udaipur for two nights, giving the trip a calmer close instead of ending on the most crowded leg of the circuit.

Golden Triangle with Udaipur — Frequently Asked Questions

It's designed to start in Delhi following the standard Golden Triangle order, but we can reverse the route to start in Udaipur if that better matches your flight arrangements.

We drive it, typically 6-7 hours by road; a domestic flight is also an option if you'd prefer to save the travel time, which we can help coordinate.

Our core fleet and drivers operate within Rajasthan; for the Delhi-Agra legs we coordinate with trusted partner operators so the whole 7-day trip is booked as one seamless itinerary.

It's a fuller pace than our Rajasthan-only tours since Delhi and Agra are dense with sightseeing; most guests find it works well precisely because Udaipur at the end offers a deliberately slower close to the trip.

October through March offers the most comfortable weather across all four cities, particularly for the early-morning Taj Mahal visit and Udaipur's outdoor sightseeing.
